I would notice we were drifting and the remote would no longer have the anchor symbol displayed. I would hit the spot lock button and it would come back on. Then sometimes it would turn back off. I may have mistakingly concluded that referred to periodic & infrequent power loss due to battery changes. I was not sure if a more "frequent" sensor rebooting process might result in a shortened life span of the sensor.
