This is a popular trail for backpacking, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. WebWe stopped at the Ed Garvey shelter and the Rock run shelter. The foot bridge in harpers ferry was closed and we added a couple of miles. First day became the longest at 13.5 ish miles.
