Presuming that it is the organic garden soil you are using, I would think it is OK to use full strength to plant things in. Watch how fast things dry out, and if the soil hardens and cakes when very dry. Mixes with a lot of peat do that. WebIf this is Black Kow, it appears to be properly composted dairy cow manure, which should be fine to top-dress or incorporate. Mulching now will tend to hold the soil temperature where it is, which may be lower than the ideal. I would hold off on mulching until you have actual plants growing, whether seeded or transplanted.
